Why 100 ticket max?

The TED organization has a system and development process for all their TEDx license holders. Each license holder, or organizer, must orchestrate a TEDx event with certain guidelines. One of those guidelines is the max of 100 ticket sales as first-time organizers.

So the decision to only have 100 tickets is a restriction from TED and we support it. They have some terrific standards and methods of how they handle their licenses. They are the real deal and have the reach of a billion views and a global audience for a reason. As a team of organizers under the TEDx Sioux Falls brand, we’ll look to follow their lead and their event protocols.

In the future years we certainly do have big ambitions. It all revolves around leveling-up as a TED organizer, gaining experience, and conducting bigger and better events. Stay tuned as we grow this event for the community and serve up that appetite Sioux Falls is hungry for.

The journey has begun!

Disclaimer:  TED is a non-profit endeavour and so are the TEDx events. No profit can be, and will not be, delivered to individuals, speakers or organizers. This is a terrific setup and how we care to orchestrate the license as well. We vow to serve the community as positively as we can and deliver that terrific platform of “ideas worth spreading” with these events.
We look forward to you joining us on this journey, in the sparked conversations, and at the events!
